Living into New Life
Living God's Truth
November 24, 2024
John 18: 33-37
On Christ the King Sunday, we conclude the series by reflecting on how we are called to belong to God’s truth rather than trying to possess or control it. True life is found in surrendering to Christ’s way of living in the world, which calls us to love, forgive, and trust in a kingdom not of this world.
Embracing New Beginnings

Mark 13: 1-8
Jesus tells the disciples not to be alarmed as the world around them seems to be falling apart. This sermon focuses on how the destruction of the old (represented by the falling temple stones) is the necessary beginning of new life. Transformation often feels like loss, but it’s a birthing process toward wholeness.
Giving Beyond Measure

Mark 12: 38-44
This week, we turn to the story of the widow who gave all she had. Her poverty symbolizes a deeper spiritual truth: when we let go of our need for control, wealth, or status, we open ourselves to the true richness of life in God. Her act of giving is a powerful example of surrender and trust, inviting us to reflect on what we need to release to live into new life.
Called to Life

John 11: 32-44
We begin on All Saints' Sunday with the story of Lazarus being called from the tomb. This sermon focuses on God’s power to bring forth new life even from death and despair. It’s a story of resurrection and transformation, where we’re invited to consider the parts of our lives where we long for renewal.
